How to Get SBI Edge Forex Card

  • Indian resident students travelling abroad for higher studies (except Nepal and Bhutan)

  • Best suited for Professional traveller/corporate employee who is travelling abroad for work

  • Visit any of the authorized SBI branches offering Forex Card services
  • Fill out the SBI Edge Forex Card application form
  • Submit the required documents
  • Get your SBI Edge Forex Card instantly, subject to verification

  • Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
  • PAN Card
  • Proof of travel
    • Visa / Air ticket / Admission letter
  • Proof of residence (if address differs from passport)

Note: If your address is different from the one mentioned in your passport, please carry valid proof of residence.


The SBI Ascent Forex Card supports 24 major international currencies on a single card. Min Load starts at $50 or equivalent.

Cross-Currency Charges: 3% of transaction amount + GST


  • Go to Prepaid Portal. Click Login >Signup.
  • Choose Individual and enter personal details.
  • Verify details and create your username & password.

Your SBI Forex Card is now registered on the portal.

  • Login into Yono/Yono Web
  • Go to Forex Cards and manage your card
  • Functionality available – Balance Enquiry>Set/Reset PIN>Manage Card Limits>Temporary Block/Unblock>Permanent Block
