I have been in SBI since 2020 and it has been a very happy experience for me. Padmashri Mr. Sushil Doshi, eminent journalist, writer, and the first Hindi cricket commentator, delivered a motivational speech at the State Bank Bhavan Auditorium on 23rd September 2024. Renowned for popularizing cricket commentary in Hindi and authoring two books on sports, Mr. Doshi inspired employees to embrace challenges, enhance skills, and unlock their potential. The session highlighted the role of motivation in improving performance, job satisfaction, and work culture.
The Bank enriched its legacy by launching the fifth volume of its historical chronicle, The Evolution of State Bank of India (1981–1996), along with its audio edition. The release was graced by Hon’ble Finance Minister and Minister of Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, who formally unveiled the volume. This milestone not only preserves SBI's rich heritage but also reflects the Bank’s continued commitment to documenting its remarkable journey and contributions to the nation’s economic growth.
A special event was organized to honor the outstanding achievements of Indian para-athletes at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. Held on 3rd December 2024, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the event celebrated India’s best-ever Paralympic performance, with a remarkable tally of 29 medals — 7 Gold, 9 Silver, and 13 Bronze. This historic accomplishment not only highlighted the exceptional talent and determination of our para-athletes but also marked a proud milestone as India crossed the 50-medal mark in Paralympic history. To recognize their extraordinary contribution and bring glory to the nation, the medalists were felicitated by our top management in a memorable ceremony.
A series of Power Talk sessions were hosted at State Bank Bhavan and webcasted on the intranet to reach a wider audience. One of the distinguished speakers was Shri Harsha Bhogle, a chemical engineer and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, who is widely recognized as the voice of Indian cricket. With over three decades of experience in sports broadcasting, Shri Bhogle has contributed in various capacities as a commentator and journalist, inspiring millions through his insights and storytelling in the world of cricket.
A series of engaging Power Talk sessions were hosted at State Bank Bhavan and webcasted on the intranet for wider participation. The sessions featured Shri M. Damodaran, a renowned Indian corporate advisor, mentor, and former Chairman of SEBI and UTI. These sessions aimed to motivate employees and enhance their awareness on key professional and personal growth aspects. Photography competition titled “Banker to Every Indian” across all the 17 Circles and Corporate Centre- showcasing the Bank’s diverse culture and legacy, and commemorate this milestone year in a creative and meaningful manner. As a part of the Bank’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, Chairman Sir launched the exhibition on 24 June 2025.

FAKE SELECTION LETTERS /LISTS SENT BY FRAUDSTERS IN THE NAME OF SBI
It has been reported to us that some fraudsters have hosted web sites making them appear to be as those of State Bank of India (SBI). Fake lists of selection for posts in SBI have been published on these websites, and reportedly fake appointment letters are also being issued in the name of SBI.
It is clarified that SBI never publishes names of shortlisted/selected candidates on the website. Only roll numbers/registration numbers are published and shortlisted/selected candidates are informed individually through SMS/Email/Post. All details regarding recruitment e.g. notice, interview schedule, final result etc., are published only on https://sbi.co.in/careers and https://bank.sbi/careers.
If any such communication is received, it should be cross verified for authenticity from the websites mentioned above
