FCNR Deposit Interest Rate

SBI ADVANTAGE FCNR(B) Deposit:

Rate of Interest Following interest rates will be applicable under the scheme:

3 years and above but less than 4 years 5.25 5.50
4 years and above but less than 5 years 5.50 5.75

Premature Withdrawal Conditions
  • No premature withdrawal is permitted under the scheme for a period of 1 year from the date of opening of FCNR(B) deposit.
  • In case of premature withdrawal after 1 year and before 3 years, interest will be payable @ 3.50% for the period deposit has run with the Bank.
  • In case of premature withdrawal between 3 years to less than 5 years, interest will be payable @ 1.00% lower than the rate of interest applicable for the period the deposit has run with the Bank.

 

  • Rates are subject to change, without prior notice.
  • Annualised yield calculated on the maximum period under the respective period bucket.
  • Interest is compounded at half yearly frequency.

  • For 1 year’s FCNR (B) deposit, simple Interest is applicable.
  • For FCNR (B) deposit above 1 year, Interest is compounded at half yearly frequency.
Premature withdrawals of FCNR (B) Deposits :
  • No interest is payable, if the deposit is withdrawn before one year.
  • No premature penalty for the deposit withdrawn after completion of one year. However, interest shall be paid 
    • at the contracted rate. OR
    • at the rate prevailing at the time of opening of related FCNR(B) deposit account for the period deposit has remained with the Bank. OR
    • at present interest rate for the period deposit has remained with the Bank. (Whichever is lowest)
